There are several defamatory, false claims and unjustified allegations circulating against Crowd1, the business model, and our affiliate members. Crowd1 is in many cases portrayed and accused of being a scam, pyramid scheme, a bluff, and has in numerous articles been criticized by media outlets and authorities. Authorities in certain countries have even prevented Crowd1 for operating and from offering the services and membership registration in their country. The following article is intended to oppose, challenge, and to clarify the accusations imposed on Crowd1 and the Crowd1 business model. This article also contains supporting documents, including terms and conditions and privacy policy.
This is why Crowd1 is not a pyramid scam
The first false and incorrect claim imposed on Crowd1 by media outlets and authorities is that Crowd1 is a pyramid scam. In order to properly oppose this claim and statement, it is first crucial that a pyramid scam is defined. The definition of a pyramid scheme is a fraudulent system where the money earned through the scheme only comes from the recruitment and affiliation of new members to the network. In a pyramid scam, the recruiter of the new members is monetarily compensated as the new affiliate invests in the business or when the member purchases products or inventory from the business. The model is called a pyramid scheme since all the accumulated financial capital ascends towards the assemblage of people that entered the business in the beginning. The recruiter is furthermore compensated when the new member recruits more people to the business, which incentivizes the inclusion of even more members. The pyramid scam structure are bound to collapse as a sustainable pyramid structure would require an unlimited supply of money.
With Crowd1, it does not cost anything to become a member and members do not make money by involving others into networks, nor do members sell products to each other. Crowd1 networks are, therefore, not dependant on the recruitment of more members, as the cause would be in a pyramid scam. Crowd1 rewards based on efforts, all members can, therefore, make any desired amount of money, regardless of their position in the organization. When the Crowd1 business model is compared to the structure of a pyramid scam, the contrasts and differences between the two become ever so apparent.
“Our ambition is to build a fantastic long-term and sustainable company in line with all the laws and regulations that exist in all countries where we will operate.”
What does Crowd1 sell?
Trijo News among other news outlets claims that Crowd1 does not sell any physical products and or any products of significant value. This is, however, not entirely the case as Crowd1 has been in the prelaunch state. In the prelaunch state, Crowd1 had a limited number of products, but the primary focus was always on providing the products for the Crowd1 members and not on the money. On July 4, 2020, Crowd1 launched several new products for the Crowd1 sales network, including the security service called SAfer in addition to the online travel agency called LifeTRNDS. The partnership with the Nigerian lifestyle brand “Tribute” was furthermore launched on the 1st of October 2020. Crowd1 will be launching even more products that the members can build companies around, sell, recommend, or consume.
